Fellowship in Laser Dentistry
The venue is at St. Joseph University-Beirut-Lebanon.
Fellowship fee: 3500 US$/participant.
Each course is limited to a maximum of 30 participants.
Our program is 72 hours. It is an official course of the University of Genoa.
Each participant will get double certificates:
1) From the Faculty of Dental Medecine, St. Joseph University-Beirut-Lebanon
2) From UNIGE (University of Genoa, Italy).
Successful completion of the Fellowship Diploma shall confer mediated entry to the Master of Science (MSc) degree in Laser Dentistry, University of Genoa, Italy.

The Fellowship Diploma of the University of Genoa, Italy is a course of study and examination in the use of lasers as an adjunct to clinical dental surgery and medicine.
The Fellowship shall define a level of competence that is consistent with an experienced laser user. The course is designed to provide evidence-based core knowledge in laser use in dentistry and to refine practical skills. Emphasis is placed on the integration of this course into the on-going practice of dentistry for each participant and the future benefit of laser use for dental patients.

Course: 4 modules x 2 days/module = 8 days.
Course elements: Didactic theoretical and applied clinical knowledge of laser use in all aspects of dental surgery and medicine. Additional aspects shall include the practical use of lasers and the compilation of clinical case presentations.
The teaching faculty is mostly selected from members of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Genoa and accredited International specialists in laser dentistry and from the FMD, St. Joseph University.
Successful completion of the course and examination shall be recognized by the presentation of a certificate:

Prof. Stefano Benedicenti (Genoa, Italy)

Professor Benedicenti is Associate Professor in Restorative Dentistry and Endodontics at the University of Genova (Italy).
He is Dean of the laser department center of the University of Genova. Additionally, he is President of the European Master Course in “Laser Dentistry”.
He is a Founding member of IAHT (International Academy of High Tech)
Professor Benedicenti is an author and co-author of 80 publications in National and International journals and three books in the field of laser dentistry.

Dr. Steven Parker (Harrogate, UK)

Dr. Steven Parker studied dentistry at University College Hospital Medical School, University of London, UK and graduated in 1974. He maintains a Private Practice in Harrogate, UK.
Dr. Parker has been involved in the use of lasers in clinical dentistry since 1990. He is closely involved in the provision of education in laser use in dentistry. He served as President of the Academy of Laser Dentistry in 2005-6. In addition, Dr. Parker holds Advanced Proficiency status in multiple laser wavelengths and completed the Academy Educator Course at the University of California, San Francisco in 2000.
He was awarded Mastership of the Academy of Laser Dentistry in 2008.
Awards gained with the Academy of Laser Dentistry have been the Leon Goldman award for excellence in clinical laser dentistry (1998) and the Distinguished Service Award (2010).

In 2009, he was appointed
Professore a contratto and International Coordinator of the Master of Science (MSc) degree programme in laser dentistry at the UniversitÓ degli Studi di Genova.

Dr. Parker has contributed chapters on aspects of laser use in dentistry in several text books and multi-media platforms. Additionally he has received publication of many peer-reviewed papers on the use of lasers in dentistry, including a series “The Use of Lasers in Dentistry” published in the British Dental Journal in 2007 and later as a textbook.
He was the dental consultant to the UK Medical Health Regulatory Agency (Dept. of Health) in the 2008 publication "Guidance on the safe use of lasers, intense light source systems and LEDs in medical surgical dental and aesthetic practices”.
He serves as associate-editor of the Journal of Lasers in Medical Science. In addition, he serves as referee for many peer-reviewed dental journals worldwide.

Dr. Steven Parker
Dr. Hoda El Hallal Rezkallah (Beirut, Lebanon)

Dr. Hoda El Hallal graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry in 1993 from Saint Joseph University, Beirut-Lebanon; she also got her Diploma in Oral Biology in 2006 from the Lebanese University, Beirut-Lebanon.
In 2012, she got a Fellowship in Laser dentistry.
In 2014 Dr. Hoda obtained her Master of Science degree in Laser Dentistry from the University of Genoa - Italy, where she is currently a new faculty member at the Department of Surgical Sciences and Integrated Diagnostics.

She is a general practitionner in her own clinic since 1995 in Beirut-Lebanon, and working since 2012 with two wavelenghts: Diode & Erbium:YAG lasers.

National & International speaker about laser application in dentistry, she already lectured in Lebanon, Italy and Egypt.
Dr. El Hallal is a reviewer in the peer review journal "Lasers in Medical Sciences".

Dr. Rita El Feghali (Beirut, Lebanon)

Dr. Rita El Feghali is a dental surgeon who graduated from the University Saint Joseph in Beirut, Lebanon-year 1993.
She obtained her Master of Sciences degree in Laser Dentistry in 2014 from the University of Genoa, Italy, where she is currently teaching in the Department of Laser Surgery and Laser Therapy.
She has presented many lectures and hands-on clinical courses on the use of laser in Dentistry in Italy, Lebanon and other countries.
Dr El Feghali is a reviewer in the peer review journal “Lasers in Medical Science”.
In her private practice, she works with three laser wavelengths, Diode 980nm, Nd:YAG 1064nm and Er:YAG 2940nm.
